Chris Neill is an IT and Continuous Improvement professional with 20+ years of experience and ITIL certification. Chris’ combined experience and passion for problem solving, mentoring, and driving continuous improvement make him key to the success of Archimedes Consulting.
CERTIFICATION
ITIL Foundation
Over the years, the different versions of ITIL have released in order to stay aligned with changing business requirements. Termed ITIL V3 the third version of ITIL best practices framework was released in 2007. An update to ITIL V3 was made in 2011, because of which, ITIL V3 is also called ITIL 2011 V3. This latest version is more suited for todays business environment because it includes strategic elements so that the IT service management is more aligned to the business requirements.
Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
This certification proves the ability to accomplish the following technical tasks: manage Azure identities and governance; implement and manage storage; deploy and manage Azure compute resources; configure and manage virtual networking; and monitor and back up Azure resources.
ITIL Practitioner
The ITIL® Practitioner certification offers practical guidance on how to adopt and adapt the ITIL framework to support your business’ objectives. It enables practitioners to not only speak the language of ITIL, but be able to translate it and use it in practice.
ITIL Practitioner can be taken at any stage in the ITIL certification scheme beyond Foundation. It provides a different set of skills not available in the existing certifications.
- ITIL Practitioner covers the Continual Service Improvement (CSI) approach as the way to structure any improvement initiatives.
- ITIL Practitioner also covers three key areas crucial for success of any improvement initiatives:
- Organizational Change Management
- Communication
- Measurement and Metrics.
Lean Practitioner
Lean Practitioners participate and/or lead Lean Improvement efforts within their usual field, area or operation. Lean Practitioners, also referred to as Lean Yellow Belts or Lean Bronze, possess a basic understanding of Lean and the skills to successfully implement fundamental Lean tools.
EXPERIENCE
Operational Excellence
Creation and implementation of an Operational Excellence group with a financial institution. 5 years of combined experience executing and managing continuous improvement projects. Projects that involve; tool implementation, process improvement, systems integration, automation, and a variety of work in the O365 and Power Platform.
Service Desk Operations
Conversion of a Helpdesk to a Service Desk, approximately 5 years of combined experience managing and operating an ITSM centric Service Desk. Duties included; implementing an ITSM ticketing system, officiating process documentation, running physical implementation projects, and fielding 1200 tickets per month.
Lean End to End Process Improvement
Over 2 years of operational and leadership involvement in a global lean program focues on analyzation of programs and comparison to blue printed operational models. Quantifiction of difference and value of process changes.
Data Center Operational Leadership
Approximately 8 years of mega data center technical operational leadership in three different facilities full time. Led the effort to develop, train, and implement an off-shore solution in Mumbai India. Traveled to several new facilities to assist in training new operational teams globally. Developed work volume and operational reporting that was adopted globally.
